Helping ASD youth become independent adults

We work with individuals 13 and older with a wide range of diagnoses
We are located in Marin County, California

Autistry Studios is a pre-vocational program that promotes the growth of independence. The transition from youth to adult is a difficult time for everyone. For students with Autism, Asperger’s or other similar challenges the transition to independent adulthood can be especially difficult.

We work in small groups pursuing projects the students have chosen. In the context of working on these projects we learn about the individual and support constructive growth.

Autistry Studios was founded by two parents who felt there was nothing else available to support their son as he set out to discover adulthood.

Autistry Studios – a profile of excellence

Janet Lawson and Dan Swearingen, the founders Autistry Studios were chosen as one of ABC7′s 2012 Profiles in Excellence.
